A Christmas concert for the cluster pupils of Kyle Academy was held at Ayr Town Hall recently.

Children from Forehill Primary School and Ayr Grammar joined the Kyle Academy pupils on stage on Tuesday, December 19 from 7pm for an evening of festive fun.

On the night itself, there were carols, where family and friends who came to watch could join in, as well as various performances from the pupils.

Ayr Advertiser:

The Kyle Academy choir, orchestra, brass band all took to the stage. There were soloists and a special performances from Forehill and Ayr Grammar pupils.

As Kyle Academy nears its 40th year in 2019, the school would like to start chronicling its many successes throughout the decades.

There have been records kept of the school’s achievements in its 38 year history but they are aware that this is in no way a complete record of all the achievements of our young people over the decades.

Successes in sport, debating, music and art have been amongst the highlights over the years – and they would like to be reminded of all of their pupils’(past and present) wonderful accomplishments.

Ayr Advertiser:

If anyone has any memories they would like to tell the school about, including the Christmas concerts and other successful performances, they should get in touch with the school office or contact them through the website.

Kyle Academy opened in August 1979 with 154 pupils in S1 and achieved full sixth year status in August 1984.

The Academy has accommodation for 830 pupils with 778 enrolled this year.

Schools will reopen for the new term on Monday, January 8.
