BUDDING young journalists at Holmston Primary School impressed the Ayr Advertiser Series with their fantastic reporting skills. Primary four had been learning about the disaster of The Titanic.
ANGRY Ayr residents hit out at the level of disruption resulting from work by telephone and broadband company, Virgin Media. Drivers have claimed that the workers had been blocking roads and refusing to let vehicles pass. Work was carried out on various street surrounding the town including Woodend Road, Bathurst Drive and the Loaning.
GIRVAN Golf Club was preparing for a busy summer season following a £172,000 renovation. The new look clubhouse was officially opened in March and sports an upgraded top of the range facility.
FLOODLIGHTS that were planned for the car park next to Marr College’s all-weather playing fields were approved by South Ayrshire Council.
Plans were put forward to light up a ‘dangerously’ dark car park next to the fields and the council gave the go ahead to the plans.
