THE ANNUAL Maybole ball will take place in the town hall at the end of the year.
Guests will be able to enjoy the event until 2am on Friday, December 29 after South Ayrshire Council’s Licensing Board agreed permit the occasional licence to the committee.
The Maybole Ball has been held since the 1980’s and takes the format of a ticketed event for invited guests with a Ceilidh Band and breakfast.
The council have agreed that the total number of tickets is 190, admission is only to ticket holders, each ticket allows five vouchers for alcohol with vouchers limited to a single unit.
Under 18s will be allowed in the venue but will be given a proof of age stamp.
Catrina Andrew, Licensing Standards Officer, said: “This is an annual event which has ran since the 1980s. The committee want 17-year-olds to be able to attend.”
The licence was granted last Thursday, November 23.
