A MAN is to be of good behaviour after struggling and shouting with police officers at Craig Tara Holiday Park.

Martin Clack admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Craig Tara Holiday Park on June 16, where he instructed his partner to film police officers executing their duty and struggle with the officers whilst shouting and screaming at them.

The 56-year-old appeared before Sheriff John Montgomery at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute Fiscal, Andrew Lazzarin, explained: “There had been a dispute with staff at Craig Tara with the accused and the police attended and were given access to the caravan that the accused was staying in. Staff at Craig Tara wanted the key to the caravan back, but the accused said that he didn’t have it – one of the officers spotted the key lying on the ground.

“Dogs belonging to the accused then began to walk around the holiday park and the police officer told the accused to get them under control. The accused became aggressive and started to make his way towards one of the police officers. There was a struggle.”

Solicitor Peter Lockhart, said: “Mr Clack resides in Edinburgh and has never been in trouble before – this is extremely embarrassing for him.”
“There was an argument which escalated which he feels very stupid about.”

Sheriff Montgomery deferred sentence for Clack to be of good behaviour.
