A PLEA for the new Belleisle Golf Academy to be located fully within the Seafield Course has surfaced.
Chairman of Friends of Belleisle, Norman McLean has challenged the proposed relocation of three of the golf holes on the Old Racecourse to be situated at the Seafield Course.
He believed this would avoid any 'incursion' from one site to another.
Mr McLean understands this is being given some consideration, but there has been no planning application yet. The Head of Ayrshire Golf Trust, Cllr. Brian Connolly wanted to meet with Mr McLean to discuss the possibilities.
Chairman McLean explained: "Great concern has been expressed about the location of Belleisle Golf Academy. There are three holes proposed at the Old Race Course.
"But this clashes with the open space used for football and would be more appropriate if they were at Seafield. I think our suggestion is being considered but it has all gone quiet."
