A MAN has admitted beating his two daughters with a stick for more than three years.
The man, who lives in Prestwick but cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted repeatedly assaulting then children who are 16 and 12 at their home address.
The incidents are alleged to have taken place from February 1, 2014 and March 7, 2017. The 46-year-old appeared before Sheriff Carole Cunninghame at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor, Bob Campbell said: "My client is on bail and I would ask your lady ship to continue bail on the same conditions.
"Social work have been involved in this case. They are happy that they are agreeing to work together."
Depute fiscal Andrew Lazzarin confirmed: "This case me be referred to a children's panel."
Sentence has been deferred until next month to allow the court to obtain a criminal justice social work report. The man has been released on bail.
