A MAN has been scarred for life after being stabbed in Ayr.
The 43-year-old was allegedly attacked by two men at Strathayr Place at 11.15am last Thursday.
Police say they found the victim on Turner’s Brig, the footbridge over the River Ayr.
Officers carried out inquiries and have identified two men from the nicknames provided to police by the complainer
The first suspect is believed to be a 48-year-old man who was detained on Friday, June 16.
It is alleged he was carrying a hand lock back knife. He has been charged with assault, severe injury and permanent disfigurement to his victim’s hand.
The other suspect, is understood to be a 49-year-old and has been charged for being in possession of cocaine. He was found by police on Friday afternoon. Both men were arrested and remanded in custody.
They were due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, June 19 as we went to press.
