ADRENALINE seekers are encouraged to head to the River Ayr to take part in Ayrshire's first ever charity zip slide for #BUYMSH.

Organisers are delighted to announce the event, will run on Saturday, June 17, in partnership with the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra who will be individually raising money for their next tour.

MSH campaigners will be raising money, as always, towards building the new respite house in Ayrshire for children, young people and their families with cancer and other life altering illnesses in the UK.

There are only 100 spaces available for MSH and 80 spaces for AFO.

Maxine Allan, CEO of the charity, said: "This was the brilliant idea of Wallace Galbraith at AFO.

"Wallace and his team brought Zipslides UK to Ayr and what a great idea. Wallace very kindly invited #BUYMSH to join them so that we could both raise money for our own causes.

The challenge will take place at Millbrae Car Park over the River Ayr to the far side of Ayr College and will be operated by Zipslides Uk.

It will run from noon onwards and precise timings will be given to each participant after registration.

A £45 registration fee per person is given to Zipslide UK and £100 per person sponsorship is asked for by the charity.

All proceeds raised will go to the charity #BUYMSH - Ayrshire Holiday Dreams Foundation (MSH).

Consent forms will be provided and required to be signed on the day. There is a weight restriction of 17.5 stone maximum.

AFO will be inviting their musician members, families and friends to take part and already have a large number of registrations.

#BUYNSH is still to officially launch the event on social media but have already secured two teams from The McKinstry Company and QTS Group.

The Zipslide is open to everyone, individuals, families, groups and corporates. "I will be taking part too alongside my partner, three children and friends. I'd recommend registering asap" Maxine added.
