STAIR Community Association will be hosting a Pop-Up Art Exhibition at Stair Community Centre next month.

On Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, local artists who all live and work in Ayrshire are invited to visit the exhibition.

You can come and see Janet-Renouf Miller’s Knit 1 Bike 1 Exhibition which tells the story of one woman’s epic 818 mile cycling adventure around Scotland translated into knitting and crochet.

A talented young artist, Jan Laird, will also be at the exhibition and she is a fresh new face to the Ayrshire art scene.

Her most outstanding piece of work was a painting of a Highland Cow and the inspiration she gained from it formed the catalyst for her future studies at the University of Cumbria.

Isabelle Grogg has been living and working in Ayrshire since 2009 and she is originally from Switzerland.

Since leaving school she has been working in the aviation industry as an air traffic controller.

She has been painting for a long time and her favourite subjects to paint are moon craters, playing with light and shadows.
The art exhibition is free to everyone, but donations are always welcome.

The exhibition is also open from 10 am to 4 pm on both days.
Refreshments and home baking will be available in the café style kitchen.
