A THUG who frightened shoppers in Ayr Town Centre by shouting he had a knife on him before pursuing them has been released on bail.
Dylan Hodge, of Charlotte Street, admitted behaving in a threatening, aggressive and intimidating manner and uttering threats on October 7 last year at Boswell Park.
The 18-year-old appeared before Sheriff John Montgomery at Ayr Sherriff Court last week where he confirmed a new plea of guilty to the court.
His defence solicitor John Gallagher informed the court that Hodge had completed the unpaid work aspect of his last community payback order.
Sheriff Montgomery said: “I will call for reports on this order. His bail will be continued.”
Hodge is due to re-appear at court next month.
After listening to non-guilty pleas from other cases that morning Sheriff
Montgomery then addressed a group of students sitting in the jury bench.
He said: “To the students sitting in this court today you will see that it is possible for someone to plead guilty.”
