SOUTH Ayrshire Council announced at a leadership panel meeting that they are on track with budgets in regards to energy efficiency.

The report, which was delivered last week, concluded that they are ready to hit their target although, they would have to take money out the 2017/18 budget.

However, the council admitted they would face difficulties in regards to their budgets for the next session.

Properties included in the report were the Troon gymnasium and Rozelle House.

Councillor Bill Grant said: “This paper has been challenging due to the cuts of millions from Edinburgh.”

Councillor John McDowell said: “It is a matter of concern going into 2017/18. The council is going to face some difficulties.”
Councillor Rita Miller said: “A concern of moving money around is being squeezed out.

“This is an uncomfortable time.”
