A MAN accused of setting fire to a Maybole football ground TWICE over Christmas has been arrested.
A 27-year-old has been charged with fireraising to the clubhouse at Ladywell Stadium at 1am on Christmas Eve and 1am on Boxing Day.
Pictures reveal the state of the damage caused by the blaze.
It caused damage worth thousands of pounds to the clubhouse and stadium but club management and workers need help from locals and supporters to raise money for repairs.
Maybole Juniors are an important part of our community and historic stadium in the town.
Posting on a Justgiving page they said: “Weʼre raising £500 to help with the costs of repairing Maybole Juniors club house /stadium after recent fire damage. Please help support your local club.”
The club had applied and been awarded £1,000 for decoration and flooring on Saturday, December 3, the maximum amount from North Carrick Decides.
