MAYBOLE Community Council have been granted £50,000 in uncommitted reserves following the latest leadership panel meeting at South Ayrshire Council.
It is thought that the move will fund Phase 2 of the development in Maybole should Phase 1 be successful.
The money should phase 1 be successful will go to support the rejuvenation of Maybole which is also seeing a bypass as part of development.
Maybole Community Council has also lodged an applicaton to the HLF (Heritage Lottery Fund) for funding to Phase 1 which will see a massive rejuvenation of Maybole.
Areas in Maybole include, the High Street, Maybole Town Hall and Maybole Castle.
Councillor Rita Miller was happy to approve the application.
She said: "I support this. I am very enthusiastic about any work in Maybole.
"The funding even if phase 1 is not approved I am sure will go to other uses."
Councillor and chair of the meeting Bill McIntosh also was happy.
He said: "This is a wonderful report. I wish Maybole Community Council all the best."
