THE SSPCA are trying to track down the owner of cat who was rescued from the River Ayr.

The pet rescue team were called on Thursday, September 29 when members of the public spotted the cat submerged in water on a metal grate under the bridge on the Ayr bypass between the Whitletts and Holmston roundabout.

After being rescued, the cat was taken to the SSPCA Glasgow centre where she was named Zoe, by staff.

The SSPCA do not know how Zoe came to be in the river.

She may have been dumped nearby or she could’ve got a fright during recent storms and ran off.

Zoe is black female cat and she is around 8-12 years old.
She is extremely friendly and partially blind.

If Zoe belongs to you please call the SSPCA Glasgow Centre on 03000 999 999.
