KIRKMICHAEL Primary School got glowing praise from South Ayrshire Councillors at the latest Leadership Panel meeting.
The meeting which was chaired by Councillor Bill McIntosh heard as Frank Cardle, Quality Improvement Manager and Liz Candlish, Acting Head Teacher for Kirkmichael Primary School discuss the school’s excellent inspection report.
The inspection took place on the week beginning May, 16 before the report being published on June 28. The inspection found that the teamwork and professionalism of staff and the high quality learning experiences the school supports was a major positive for the school.
The headteacher’s effective leadership, however it is important to note that the headteacher has now since been appointed Annbank Primary School headteacher.

Councillor Bill McIntosh added his praise: “I am absolutely delighted. I have to say there is a massive congratulations in order for the primary school.
Frank Cardle, Quality Improvement Manager at South Ayrshire Council said: “The staff were wonderful. It was expected the school was going to be inspected so standards were high already. The school was ready. .
Staff were relaxed during the inspection and like many schools, Kirkmichael was prepared.”
Kirkmichael Primary School are to appoint a new headteacher.
