A MAN who made offensive remarks towards an employee of Ayr's Debenhams has been given two months to clean up his act.

Iain Rodger of Barns Terrace, Ayr pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening manner, likely to cause fear or alarm, by shouting, swearing, making offensive remarks and gestures towards the employee on January, 4 this year.

The 18-year-old also admitted assaulting a woman at the Spar on Ayr's Boswell Park by spitting on her as well acting aggressively by throwing a can on September 8, 2015.

Rodger appeared again at Ayr Sheriff Court last week before Sheriff Carole Cunninghame. The court heard how Rodger had problems keeping previous CPO appointments but had been of good behaviour.

Sheriff Carole Cunninghame said: "That might just be your saving grace. I respect of the CPO that was organised, the court will deal with it on the basis of a breach.

"The court will remove the order of 12 months and the 12 months will start from today. The court will then review this in two months. I am not going to let this stay deferred. I want to know you are progressing.

"You are running out of chances." Sentence has been deferred until October.
