A MAN who threatened people at a Quarriers support group flat and at Holmston House has been told 'this is not the life he wants to lead'.

Dylan Hodge, now of Charlotte Street, admitted behaving in a threatening manner at the organisation on Ayr's Chalmers Road, last November and again on December 14, last year by swearing and shouting threats of violence.

The 18-year-old further admitted acting in an abusive manner on December 15, 2015 at Holmston House. The court heard how witnesses had gone into the accused's flat but he started to shout and swear at them. Police were contacted.

Depute Fiscal Scott Toal said: "The accused started throwing things at them before threatening to damage their cars and throwing a key. He was removed from Chalmers Road.

"He then went to the Social Work office to speak to the social worker but was taken into a room where he spoke aggressively to a female. Police officers were contacted."

Speaking on his behalf defence solicitor Robert Logon said: "He is a young guy with a difficult back ground, who has spent most of his life in care."

Sheriff Leslie said: "You have moved on. I do not expect this is a life you want to lead, to come back here all the time."

Hodge will complete one year of CPO and 100 hours of unpaid work in the community.
