Man 'assaulted' door steward at the Ayr races
A MAN has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a door steward at the Ayr Races.
It is claimed that on Saturday, August 8 at 8.40pm the 46-year-old male assaulted the 34-year-old member of staff locking his hand around his throat in front of two witnesses.
The Ayr Advertiser understands that he was with a friend who had already been asked to leave.
The man was arrested but later released on undertaking and is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
