One special event at the Troon Gala is a dog show in aid of the SSPCA.
Ayrshire's famous dog Kai, who was abandoned at Ayr Train Station will be the guest judge, since he has found happiness at his forever home.
On the Seafront people are asked to register their prized pooch into the competition – which has seven different classes:
1. Best puppy (under 1yr)
2. Prettiest female
3. Most handsome male
4. Veteran (8yrs+)
5. Waggiest tail
6. Best set of tricks
7. Top "rescued" dog
There will be rosettes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class.
Registration from 1pm, £2 per class. Classes begin at 2.30pm. 1st and 2nd from each class goes forward for Best in Show.
