AYR drivers have been warned by Scottish Water to expect delays and road closures in the Lochlea Drive Area with a seven week water mains upgrade set to begin.
As part of the seven weeks of work to upgrade pipes in the area, there will be a road closure in place in Mill Brae for one week from July 5th.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Holmston Road, on Dongola Road at its junction with Holmston Road.
There will be further lights on the Station Road-Holmston Road double roundabouts on the A79 and A70 and on the Castlehill Road-Holmston Road double roundabout.
Further road closures will take effect on July 11 as Belmont Road, at the level crossing, will be undergoing work for six weeks.
Temporary traffic lights will also be used on Fenwickland Road at its junction with Belmont Road and Belmont Avenue at its junction with Belmont Road.
Also Nursery Road at its junction with Belmont Road and Meadow Park at its junction with Belmont Road.
