AN AYR man convicted of behaving threateningly, is subject to a curfew after he breached his previous order.

Kieran Wilson, of Sloan Ayr previously pleaded guilty to behaving in an abusive manner, likely to cause fear or alarm at Burns Statue Square and Alloway Street in Ayr on October 28 last year.

The 22-year-old refused to leave when requested to do so, shouted and attempted to gain entry into the premises there.

But on Friday, March 18 Wilson was charged with another offence. He appeared before Sheriff Mhairi MacTaggart at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor John Gallagher, said: "There was a conviction of theft on March 18 but he has no recollection of that. There are some issues surrounding his good behaviour."

Depute Fiscal Lynda Carnochan, said: "He has not been of good behaviour My Lady. There has been one conviction which I believe to be theft on March 18. It does not tell when the accused was convicted."

Sheriff MacTaggart addressed the dock: "I am in absolutely no doubt Mr Gallagher would have told you hoe unimpressed I would be about this.

"The next time you show up with no report I will lock you up, is that clear to you? I will continue your bail but subject you to two other conditions. There will be a curfew.

"I hope this means you will be up in time to ensure you get this report."

Wilson is subject to a daily curfew order from 7am until 7pm. He has been ordered to present himself at the door when requested to do so by a police officer and sign in at Ayr Police Station every day by noon.

He has been released on bail to allow the PF to clarify the new conviction. Sentence has been deferred.
