TARBOLTON teenager Becky Lindsay has raised over £1,100 for Glasgow Hospital Children’s Charity in memory of her brother who was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The 17-year-old held her charity fundraiser at Ayr’s Market Inn on Sunday, June 12 and raised a whopping £1168 through various activities including a chest wax and beard shave.
Kids could enjoy some face painting and even met their favourite Disney characters - Olaf, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as Spiderman and a Minion.
Becky’s brother Shaun was diagnosed in 2000 and sadly passed away three years later.
Becky said: “The Glasgow Children’s Charity and Malcolm Sargent are two organisations very close to my family’s heart
“And I want to give back something to them for all the hard work they do
“I hope my brother was there somehow and hope that it made him proud.”
