The event, which is a friendly, free, timed, non-competitive 5km run, was marking its first anniversary and participants enjoyed a piece of celebratory cake at the end.
Since the first parkrun was staged in September 2014, 769 runners have taken part, it is held every Saturday morning at 9.30am in Rozelle Park, Ayr — e-mailayrhelpers@parkrun.com for more information.
