Post office bosses listening to our readers

OUR readers were shocked to discover that 11 South Ayrshire post offices were under threat of being axed in a money saving bid and, after submitting a petition to bosses, have been told their opinions matter.

After running the Advertiser Series" Save Our Post Office campaign for six weeks we were astounded by the amount of backing being given with readers sending in their petition coupons and adding their views to our online petition.

As the public consultation period drew to a close we sent all your views we had collected to the national consultation team Network Change.

Now we"ve finally had assurance that the strong community feelings are being taken into account.
