Official campaign sticker launched
By Roisin McGroarty
AN official badge to highlight Jessica Appeal fundraisers is being launched in the next few weeks.
The sticker, left, can only be got from mum Rachel or one of the fundraising organisers Paul Heron in the hope of allowing South Ayrshire residents to know if they are giving to official collections.
Rachel said: “We just wanted people to be reassured that they were giving to the official collection. Hopefully that will also although us to know who is collecting because we are still waiting on a lot of money coming in because people are collecting all over.”
The official launch of the sticker will take place within the first couple of weeks of June. The announcement follows the call for all money raised to come in as Jessica is now waiting on the call for her surgery.
The sticker has a picture of the wee girl, the words Jessica’s Journey and the website information.
Paul added: “The sticker won’t be on the website so it can’t be printed from there. It will be put on all the official tins in the shops and any other collections or events. But after that if anyone has a collection tin without the sticker or has what looks like a photocopied stickerit is not real.
Rachel and Paul have also written to several football teams in the hope of getting signed strips and balls and have received Hibs and Celtic tops signed by all the players that are set to be auctioned off at a later date.
