A GROUP of psychics are hoping the funds will pour in when they hold a special night in aid of Jessica.

Déjà Vu include five mediums who are offering their expertise and know-how at passing on messages to people with all money raised on the night going to the appeal which has already raised over £60,000.

Member and medium Andy Rankin explained about the group’s decision to support the Jessica Appeal.

He said: “I buy the Ayr Advertiser a lot and we’ve been following this all along about how this wee girl has been let down and how she needs the treatment. And as Déjà Vu the mediums do a lot of charity and every month were try to do something for someone. We don’t just want to pat ourselves on the back but everywhere we go we get a full house so it could make a bit of money.

“Everybody involved in the circle put our heads together and said we must do something for this week girl, even if we just make a shilling it doesn’t matter, we just have to make sure all the proceeds go to Jessica.”

Déjà Vu formed just over a year ago and include medium’s Andy, Eppie Graham, Anne Welsh, Annis Welsh, Laura McCrorie and Alex Waddell.

On the night the group will also be joined by guest mediums.

Group secretary Ellena Allan added: “We have raised money for charities such as Malcolm Sargent, The Hospice, Multiple Sclerosis, Breast Cancer, genetic skin charity Debra and we even raised money for a homecoming party for young soldiers returning from Iraq.

“Any events we have done previously, the charity had already been chosen but we felt we would like to choose our own cause to donate to. We had read the articles and decided to hold this event in aid of Jessica Findlay.”

The family event will take place in Foresters’ Halls on Ayr’s New Road from 7.30pm on Friday, May 2.

Entrance is just £5 and tickets can be bought on the door that night.

Andy, who lives in Craigie, continued: “There will be a platform on the night, like a stage and there’s going to be five mediums and they just sit down and take it in turns going forward to the people and seeing if there is any message. The mediums all work in good faith.”

The circle also offers development sessions which are available for anyone to go along and find out if they have any psychic skills. They meet every Tuesday, in the Foresters’ Halls, at 7pm.
