AFTER a fortnight without a game, Ayr United under 19s travelled to Recreation Park to take on a strong Alloa side and unfortunately that long lay off told on the team’s overall performance.

Straight away Ayr knew they were in a game with some strong tackles coming from the home team. The Wasps had most of the possession and on the half hour United where undone with good play by the Alloa number six who had too much space and time, played a great through ball in behind Leighfield for the Alloa centre forward to calmly finish.
