AYR United have confirmed the continuation of the safety certificate for their Somerset Park ground until next April.

The certificate is reviewed annually and the recent review covers season 2008/09.

The continuation of the safety certificate is conditional on a list of works being completed by July 14.

Ayr United associate director Calum Torrie said: "All items listed are in hand and are being worked on by our safety team led by Graham Steel.

"The continuation of the safety certificate was approved following a recent meeting with South Ayrshire Council and a site visit to Somerset Park by the committee.

"We hosted the committee at Somerset the week before last and answered a number of questions from the group. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved."
