Hundreds turn up for post office protest meetings

MEETING: Worried people in Kirkmichael
ANXIOUS residents who could be stripped of their post offices have been taking part in a series of heated discussions across South Ayrshire.
Meetings have taken place in all affected areas with residents, Post Office Ltd, Ayr and Carrick MP Sandra Osborne and consumer supporters Postwatch.
Up to 500 angry protesters were held last week in Forehill, Dunure, Minishant, Girvan, Dailly, Straiton, Kirkmichael and Ayr.
